SpaceXAI's video model, generally available on the Imagine API as grok-imagine-video-1.5. Sound effects, ambience, and dialogue are generated in the same pass as the picture. The June 16, 2026 release also rolled out Video 1.5 Fast on grok.com/imagine and the Grok iOS and Android apps, producing a 6-second 720p clip in about 25 seconds, down from 40+ seconds on the previous model. A July 31 update added text-to-video, up to seven image references, preset voice references, and native 1080p for text-to-video and image-to-video. Reference-to-video stays capped at 720p. Clips run 1 to 15 seconds. Listed rates are $0.08 per second at 480p, $0.14 at 720p, and $0.25 at 1080p, plus $0.01 per input image. The model page headline of $0.080 per second matches the 480p default. Available in us-east-1, us-west-2, and us-saltlake-2, with the Batch API and a 10 request per second cap.
